Wow I can’t believe people nowadays. HE DID NOT WIN BECAUSE OF HIS COLOR. He has something called talent and he has deep poetry but I forgot that A LOT of people mainly care abt singers or dancers. He is the very first poet to win agt and I feel happy for him. He is a very humble person and does not deserve the hate he gets. @Joseph Magyar - The sad stories, which are real, are encouraged by the producers. He would have turned up at auditions with a pile of poems and they would have sat and talked through it all with him. For the producers, it is also about ratings. They need every performer to count towards those ratings. Harder this year without the audiences. But they know their audience. They know what they like. So don't blame him for that.

@Joseph Magyar - You might not be, but the person I was replying to is. I haven't listened to any other contestants. But I am a poet too, when I can be bothered, and I was a voice producer and director for years. That teacher is VERY good. His poems are great, and his performance is wonderful. I don't care about winners and losers - it is arbitrary based on the whims of the voters. But he earned his place on merit and NOTHING to do with BLM.

Hogan and not also saying how it now has been proved that playing the sad story card works, it’s smart at the same time since, I’m not saying haha about his life, his life had really bad potholes.. but since he shared that story, people felt bad about how he was crying and talked about how bad his life is, they voted for him.
